DaanUtsav is India's biggest "festival of giving", celebrated every year during the week of Gandhi Jayanthi from 2nd-8th October. The festival aims to engage people from different walks of life in simple acts of "giving" in the form of time, skill, cash or kind to someone less privileged.
Launched in 2009, the Week has since seen participation across 80+ cities through India, raising Rs. 30 cr+ in cash and kind for various causes, besides millions of volunteer hours, with 2 million+ people celebrating "giving". Cities like Mumbai, Chennai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad and others are host to many large philanthropic events such as the Battle of Buffets, Shadow a CEO, Footsteps4Good, Design4Change, Gift Compassion, India Giving Challenge, Vastrasamman and others.
